How do I kill bed bugs?

Oct-22-2008 By admin

We are getting chewed on by bed bugs.
What can we do to kill these things.

I found this a few months ago when our cabin got infested after a trip to new york it worked great for us:

I once slept in at a Motel and had a horrible experience with that ! I woke up with all this horrible bug bites and when I took off the covers I noticed the matress had a hole in it and those bugs were all inside that matress. It was hard to see them because they would only come out at night and the hole was not very noticeable so you may want to double check your matress over and under to make sure the problem is not inside of it.

If thats the case I would just sugest you throw it away and buy a new one.

I live in a house, not an apartment building. I was being bitten every night, so I started searching the net on what it could be. Tonight I caught one on my right shoulder. Since I live in a house, would it be effective to spray and bomb every inch of the house? Should I vacuum, steam clean, wash clothes, then spray/bomb? What are the steps? I don’t want a natural method either. I want these things to die painfully and quickly.

the best thing to do is to buy this powder that they sell and sprinkle it all over the inside of your bottom mattress. you may have to rip open the bottom liner to get it inside where those suckers hide. Then spray down the mattress with goodnight bed bug mattress spray. wash your bedding thoroughly and they should die off. if you are worried they may return then i would definitely bomb the home as well.

my mom puts the mattress outside and does it kill the bed bugs and my mom washes the bed sheets does it kill the bed bugs too and i want to know how to kill the bed bugs
oh yeah we have a big area upstairs to dry our clothing outside

Absolutely not!!

Your mattress and box spring if infested, need to be encased in an lab tested and entomologist approved encasement that restricts the movement of bed bugs form the internal bedding to the outside and visa versa.

As far as your sheets and bedding goes, simply washing them in the washer on the “hot wash” will kill them. Or, placing them in the dryer on “HIGH” for at least 15min (though 30 is better) will do the job as well.

The most importnat thing to remember that the name “bed bug” is misleading, though about 70% of any infestation will be present in the bed area (mattress, box spring, frame, headboard ect.) they are more than likely spread throughout the rest of the room.

YOU NEED TO CALL A QUALIFIED PEST CONTORL OPERATOR!!

Bed bugs are not job which can be handled on your own with cans of Raid purchased at home depot.

How to kill when my bed has a bed bugs?

Bed bugs are very tenacious and difficult to get rid of. You really need to hire an exterminator for them and it may require multiple treatment. Santinize every thing that has come into contact with the bed - sheets, curtains, carpet, etc.

I have been fighting bed bugs for 9 months now and I can’t seem to totally get rid of them How can I kill them?

Bambi,

I guess it depends on what you have tried already for what you can do now.

If the exterminator failed then the bedbugs you have may be chemical resistent which means you need to try something else.

There are a number of chemical free approaches the people use with the one I hear most often being bedbug terminator by Kleen-Free.

This is a contact spray that you use for a few weeks to slowly get rid of the infestation. it takes time and effort but it might be your final solution.

Good luck.

Suing Neighbor for bed bugs ?

Sep-10-2008 By admin

Is it possible to sue my neighbors for bed bugs ? Recently my house was raided with bedbugs and all my tenants got bites from bedbugs. They had to throw away their mattress, rugs, and other expensive items. My tenants and other neighbors are pointing fingers to my next door landlord in my block because he keeps his house in horrible condition and puts his garbage with no lid. Apparently this landlord had bed bugs before but tried to kill the bed bugs using commercial products ( I was told by one of his tenants). I hired a bed bug exterminator today and that sh*t cost A LOT! I was wondering if there is any way to prove that it is his fault my house is raided ?

Contrary to popular belief bed bugs are not a result of poor hygiene or unsanitary conditions. You will have to prove it that first he has or had bed bugs and that second they came from him. This is actually not possible. Bed bugs are spread often by birds, rodents or even brough t in on furniture, textiles even on people by way of bags, shoes or clothing.

You can certainly sue for anything however you probably won't win as the burden of proof on this one is damn near impossible to establish.
