Treat Bed Bugs

Are You Safe From The Bed Bug Bites?

Archive for September 26th, 2008

Not on my bed yet, i found some of them dead on the floor and inside the fur of stuffed animals. What should I do until the insect guy comes in two days?

Are you sure they are bedbugs? there are lots of insects that will live in a house.
If you are, the dead ones you have found may be cast nymphal skins,
Have you found red droppings on the bedclothes or noticed bites on your limbs?
Bedbugs are a problem best left to professionals, they get into the smallest gaps and are difficult to kill.
You will probably be best off if you start by boil washing everything you have in that room prior to the pest controllers visit.
They may want you to dispose of the bed, as that is more than likely the major harbourage.
Then all cracks and crevices should be dusted with insecticide prior to a spray treatment of the floor areas etc.
Be patient. there is no quick fix for bedbugs.

My daughter recently moved out of an Apt that had bed bugs and she did not know they were there when she moved in. However, we tried to get rid of them when she moved out, but faliled. There is still a problem and it is very annoying. We would like to get of them discreetly. Someone please help!?

The whole apartment complex may have them they can live in rugs and go through the smallest opening from apt to apt.
they can also be carried by pets.

Forget the apt take all the fabric material that she has that she moved from the apt and wash it and put it plastic bags with moth balls for a few days.
this may stop her from carrying it to her new apt.

Itching in bed?

I have had this problem for a few months now where I have developed extreme irritation when in bed I was treated for scabies this did not work as I did not have scabies, I have tried changing detergent this does not work the funny thing is if I am sleeping in a hotel or a friends house there is no problem or even at my parents house but after sleeping in the same bed there for 3 days the problem starts again it goes away for two days if I wash the sheets but always comes back, so if its dust mites how come its ok elsewhere untill I am there for over 3 days is it on me? what the hell is it, this is really driving me crazy and i am not being paranoid!! I never mentioned it to anyone and lately my house mate mentioned thta she is beginning to itch in bed…It is not bed bugs I have done some research and there are similiar cases on the net…what the hell is this someone please please help I am in control of the agro this is causing for now, but I really dont know what to do PLEASE HELP

If you have animals it could be fleas, perhaps you are allergic to a material or perhaps its all in your head.

I know they can hide in beds and nearby curtains but can they hangout and survive in the bathroom?

I figure the bathroom is cleaned a bit stricter so that would be a safe place to keep my luggage.

bathroom should be free from bed bugs since like you already mentioned, there is no place, such as bed or curtains for them to hide. but there might be other type of bugs and bateria though

I think I might have bed bugs but im not sure. I would love any information…thanks!

Bedbugs are nasty little creatures that suck your blood while you sleep. If you do have them, get rid of your mattress! I just read an article on Yahoo News about how bedbugs are getting worse in the US, and extermination is getting harder because the chemicals they are using aren't as strong anymore. Check out the link to the news story below…it shows a picture, also.

Hi, our landlord is treating our apartment (on very short notice) for bed bugs. We did not have the time to treat the sheets and clothes and take everything out (we just found out late last night, and we just got a call today, saying it's happening). It is a very frustrating situation, but I would like to know what will happen while we are gone, what will happen to our stuff.

Who Knows! Why don't you ask them? Stop asking dumb questions.
