Treat Bed Bugs

Are You Safe From The Bed Bug Bites?

Am fed up of those insects. They are everywhere and even if I spray with insectcide, it does not do much.

Help please!!

I am sick of them too!
We have found a way to keep them out of our bed and get a good nights sleep.

Do these things and at least 90% of the time you will not wake up with bites all over your body.

1. Remove everything from your bed and wash in very hot water and use a strong detergent that has bleach in it.
2. Take apart your bed and vaccum the mattress and boxspring.
3. Use grey tape and tape all along the edge of the box spring if it already has a cover on the bottom. If it doesn't have something, covering it using an old sheet and grey tape it to the underside of the boxspring.
4. Keep your bed away from the wall.Keep furniture and other things away from the bed,so the bugs can not use it to get on the bed.Get rid of any kind of clutter, newpapers, books, clothes, that are close to the bed.
5. Sweep, vaccum,or mop your floors. We have hardwood floors so I use a vaccum then mop with hot water and bleach. If you have carpet you could steam clean.
6. Go buy a good supply of two-sided sticky tape, All along the perimeter of your box spring you will put the tape,I put two rows, just to be sure.
In the morning if you look you will see bed bugs stuck to the tape.
They can't climb up the bed, sometimes little ones get past the tape, thats when I decided to put two rows.
If you do these things once a week at least they will stay out of your bed.Check the tape every once and a while.
Ours have migrated to the living room. They get a free meal when we are trying to relax on the couch, and you can not sit on the floor they attack instantly. This weekend the living room is getting the same treatment. If it works like it did in the bedroom, maybe they will move out!
I also sprayed with an insectide along the edge of the room.
Your clothes you should wash all of them then keep them in plastic bags or plastic containers.
We have been doing this for about 3 weeks and have not been bitten while sleeping.
Good luck! I hope this works for you too!

How dose one get "bed bugs"?

Sep-8-2008 By admin

In my Grandma's apartment building, she had bed bugs. However i nor she knows where they came from. She is a neat freak and always spraying around the house. She lives in the 'project' however, she has the most cleanest and pest free apartment within it. How could she have ever gotten a "bed Bugs" if not even a single cockroach has been spotted within my Grandmothers apartment? (and believe me, there she is cockroaches with others apartments)

Even the cleanest of people can get bed bugs, if the people in the surrounding apartments have them and the infestion gets bad enough they will travel to other apartments. A simple vaccum and washing of the sheets does not get rid of them. They need to be treated by an experienced pest professional. I wish you the best and if you need anything feel free to ask.

Spray all sides of your mattress, around the bed and on the carpet. Be sure to use an ODORLESS bug spray. Then allow the mattress to "air out" preferably outside in the sun for a few hours, turn it over so both side can dry well. There are some spray choices at the bottom of this page, http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bed-bugs-c-39.html but I would recommend you go to any home center near you, Ace Hardware, True Value or any of the bigger places.
Hope this was helpful!
Good Luck, ;-)
