Treat Bed Bugs

first of all, you have to get your mattress off the floor, if that's where it is.

secondly, you need to wash all your bedding, everything, even the pillows.

third, pick up everything off your floor and try to disinfect it if you can, or better yet throw it out.

fourth, vacuum the floor with a heavy duty vacuum cleaner.

fifth, spray the floor and your mattress with a good bug spray. (better off doing this early in the morning, so you can breath when you sleep)

you just need to keep spraying and vacuuming everyday. don't put things from the floor on the bed, as bed bugs live in the carpet too.

the best option is to wash the bedding, clear the floor, and use a bug bomb specifically for bed bugs.

DON'T be a jerk and spread your bugs by staying at anyone else's place. they travel in clothes and suitcases/backpacks.

I have mysterious bites on my legs, especially the right one around the knee. The bites are mainly my legs above the knees and some scattered bites onmy abdomen/back. I have no mosquitos and no animals so I doubt it would be fleas, and they do not look like spider bites either. I can't figure out what's been chewing on me!

I checked the mattress for bloodstains and bug poop and found none. I washed my linens and got no bites for a day, then started getting them again.

Also, my boyfriend has no bites at all. What could this be? Bedbugs are the only thing that slightly make any sense, but I hope that isn't what it is.

Yes it is. I had the same problem. No one in my house had the bites not even my girlfriend who slept next to me I even went to the doctor. After real good search (had to rip matres open) I found them were mostly closer to the side I slept on. So yeah I really think is bedbugs, check the matres really well and anything wood around it including cracks on wood floors.

My fiance's old roommate gave him a futon and the mattress has bed bugs. How can we get rid of them without just having to throw the mattress away?

Throw it out. The only type of chemical that controls them is pyrethrin, but it may not penetrate the fouton deeply enough to kill the bedbugs. Meanwhile, the bugs may get into your sofa or chairs. A few years ago my next door neighbor bought an infested mattress and the little critters got into my apartment. I had an exterminator come several times to spray my apartment and my mattress, but these bugs are very tough and the pyrethrin did not kill them. I had to throw out the mattress. I also didn't want to sleep on a mattress that was covered with insecticide. My neighbor threw out her mattress too. She was bitten so badly that she had to go to the doctor several times. The whole incident was so disgusting that I can barely write about it without feeling sick! Throw it out.

Please help me!!!! am million percent sure that i have bed bugs problem in my room. what can i do to stop them? is there any trick besides washing sheets and ETC.. what kind of sprays will work? What kind of tricks would do the job….If someone's trick helped….i promise that person, i will treat him. But please help me…..am very much upset with this stupid thing!

If you have bed bugs you need to get rid of your mattress and have an exterminator come in and clean the room.
